About: Kaya Instruments Komodo II 4 Channel CoaXPress 12G Frame Grabber

Kaya Instruments Komodo II KY-FGK-II-CXP, a top-of-the-line frame grabber, can take video feeds from up to 4 CoaXPress connections. As many as four single-link cameras can be captured at once using it. Each connection supports regular CoaXPress bitrates of up to 12.5 Gbps and 13W PoCXP. For machine vision systems and applications in the industrial, defence, and aerospace industries, this CoaXPress 12G Frame Grabber is the ideal option.

The Komodo II can easily acquire video streams over the CoaXPress 12G connections and send them over the PCIe interface to computer memory. Aside from providing GPIO for video stream capture, this device also offers GPIO for machine control signals including triggers, shaft encoders, exposure control, and general I/O. Standard HD DB26 D-sub panel mount connectors are used by the Komodo II for general-purpose I/O and standard Micro-BNC connections are used as the CoaXPress interface to the camera. For video uploading and setup, the Frame Grabber communicates with the host PC using PCIe Gen3 x8 lanes.
