About: BirdDog SDM-L Bi-directional NDI Converter HDMI SDM-Enabled Display Devices

Based on the Intel SDM-L module, BirdDog BDSDM1-HDMI SDM-L Bidirectional NDI Converter with HDMI 1.4 for SDM-Enabled Display Devices is a complete NDI sender and receiver system that conveniently displays NDI on screen after receiving it from the network. Users could use it to send NDI by bringing in a source, like a laptop, and having that signal duplicated and sent to as many BirdDog Display-activated screens as they wanted. It can be set up to be either an encoder or a decoder, but neither will work at the same time.

The device supports HDMI 1.4 and has an HDMI input that can handle resolutions up to UHD 4K30. Two digital 24-bit audio channels with a 48 kHz sample rate make up embedded audio. Additionally supported are headset input and output and an analog 3.5mm microphone. An Ethernet RJ45 1000baseT connector provides network connectivity, and there are also six USB-A ports available. Additionally supported are full NDI with high-bandwidth i-frame and low-latency NDI|HX2 with H.264/HEVC Long-GOP and SRT.
